The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi’s Fine Art Committee organized a live painting session titled “Brush Hour” at Haseena Moin Hall, featuring painter A. S. Rind and his daughter Umina Khan. The duo created masterpieces together on the same canvas using charcoal and oil paint while engaging with the audience.
The session was praised by art lovers, including Member of the National Assembly Sharmila Faruqui and Fine Art Committee Chairman Farrukh Shahab, who presented shields to the artists in recognition of their contributions to fine arts.
Faruqui remarked on the beauty of a father-daughter collaboration, highlighting women’s heritage in their work. A. S. Rind emphasized that artists are storytellers, while Umina expressed her joy in painting alongside her father and described her creative process.
