Karachi Port Trust (KPT) maintained robust and efficient maritime operations, handling 215,313 metric tonnes of cargo during the 24-hour period from 0700 hours on 5 October to 0700 hours on 6 October 2026.
The total throughput comprised 140,003 tonnes of imports and 75,310 tonnes of exports. Containerised cargo accounted for 104,095 tonnes, while dry bulk cargo stood at 42,996 tonnes and liquid cargo at 63,680 tonnes.
During the period, 16 ships remained berthed, while 6 vessels sailed from the port. Another 7 vessels were positioned outside the port limits, reflecting sustained maritime activity at Karachi Port.
The port expects 19 vessel arrivals and 2 sailings during 6–7 October 2026, underscoring continued momentum in container, liquid bulk, fertiliser, cement, and other cargo operations.
