Kot Addu Power Company Limited (KAPCO) is scheduled to announce its 1QFY23 financial result on Oct 25th, 2022. We expect, the company to post a profit after tax of PKR 2,539mn (EPS: PKR 2.88) during 1QFY23. Sales of the company are projected to dip by 41% YoY I 66% QoQ due to lower dispatches, which are expected to decline by 68% YoY | 67% QoQ to 549 GWh. The decline in dispatches is expected on the back of lower demand from power purchaser. Other income is projected to increase by 25% YoY to PKR 3.4bn, due to higher interest rates. Finance cost is expected to increase by 130% YoY on the back of higher interest rates and a higher level of short-term borrowings.
