IST (Italia Sistemi Tecnologici SpA) has unveiled its world-first pressurised PLC, an intrinsically safe, Zone 1-certified control system, at K 2025 in Germany. This innovative system enhances industrial washing and solvent recovery automation, offering superior safety and process control.

Visitors at Hall 4, Stand A36 witnessed live demonstrations of the PLC integrated with IST’s industrial distillation systems, including ROTO NEXT and HR Series, along with the TW Series washing system and DISTILINK cloud-based KPI monitoring software.

Key features of the pressurised PLC include:

– ATEX-certified panel for safe operation

– Complete recipe and wash-cycle management

– Manual and automatic operational modes

Designed to improve efficiency and sustainability, the PLC integrates with DISTILINK for remote performance monitoring and maintenance scheduling. Massimiliano Mingacci, General Sales Manager at IST, highlighted the overwhelmingly positive response it received, marking a new standard in automation technology. The pressurised PLC is now available for global demonstration and installation.
