International Steels will set up the 6.4 MW Solar Power Project in Karachi.

International Steels Limited informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on January 29 that the Company’s Board of Directors has approved undertaking a 6.4 MW Solar Power Project at its Karachi factory.

The project is expected to be completed in 01 2024-2025. The estimated cost of the project is Rs one billion. The company’s initiative for investment in solar energy projects will play a key role in cost saving, reduction of the country’s reliance on imported fuel and enforcing the company’s commitment towards sustainable environment practices, reduction of carbon footprint and move towards Green Energy.

International Steels Limited was incorporated on 03 September 2007 as a public unlisted company limited by shares under the repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984 (now Companies Act, 2017). The Company is a subsidiary of International Industries Limited. The Company’s primary activity is manufacturing cold-rolled, galvanized and colour-coated steel coils and sheets.
