inDrive’s Alternativa Film Festival 2026 Invites Pakistani Filmmakers

The Alternativa Film Festival, supported by inDrive, is accepting submissions for its 2026 edition in Colombia. With a prize fund of $120,000, submissions are open from June 10 to October 10, 2025. Eligible works include fiction films, documentaries, animations, and hybrids completed after January 1, 2025. The deadlines vary based on the film’s premiere date: September 1, 2025, for films premiering before August 1, and October 10, 2025, for those premiering after.

Arsen Tomsky, CEO of inDrive, emphasized the festival’s mission to give impactful filmmakers from the Global South a platform. Launched in 2023 in Kazakhstan and expanded to Indonesia in 2024, the festival aims to spotlight bold voices in cinema. The program will feature public screenings, discussions, and networking through Industry Days, culminating in an awards ceremony for selected filmmakers with travel and accommodation covered.

The festival shifts its focus regionally each edition, promoting films that foster positive change and social impact. The host city and dates for 2026 will be announced soon.
