Ignite and Mobilink Bank partner to establish National Incubation Center Sialkot

Ignite, under the Ministry of IT and Telecom (MoITT), has partnered with the Mobilink Bank-led consortium, including CyberVision International, to establish the National Incubation Center (NIC) Sialkot. This initiative aims to enhance Pakistan’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem by providing a platform for technology-driven startups in Sialkot, a key industrial hub.

The signing ceremony was held in Islamabad, attended by senior officials from the Ministry, Ignite, and Mobilink Bank. Federal Minister Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized the government’s commitment to nurturing digital entrepreneurship as part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision.

NIC Sialkot will support up to 25 startups annually through mentorship, business development services, and market access, while promoting innovation in sectors such as sports tech, healthcare, manufacturing, and e-commerce. CEO of Ignite, Mr. Muhammad Bilal Abbasi, highlighted the center’s role in transforming ideas into scalable businesses and enhancing competitiveness.

Mobilink Bank’s CEO, Mr. Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, stated that the center aims to provide equal opportunities for small enterprises across Pakistan. The NIC is part of a nationwide initiative funded by the Ministry of IT and operates regional centers in collaboration with industry leaders and academia.
