In a landmark development for Pakistan’s maritime sector, the Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) vessel Grande Shanghai has successfully berthed at Karachi Port. The vessel is distinguished as a hybrid energy ship, equipped with 5 MWh lithium-ion batteries that enable zero-emission operations during port stays.

Adding to its sustainability credentials, Grande Shanghai is fitted with 2,500 square meters of solar panels, further reducing its environmental footprint.
