Today, the Hashmanis Group of Hospitals hosted the groundbreaking event, the 7th Edition of Pioneering Innovations in Ophthalmology (PIO) Conference today, i.e. 26th January 2025, at a picturesque venue, Andulasian Marquee, Karachi. This 7th Edition aims to bring together leading experts from across the globe to discuss advancements in Eye Care – Retina and Diagnostic Technologies.
Led by the legendary Dr. Sharif Hashmani, this year’s conference featured speakers from the USA, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates. The impressive lineup of internationally acclaimed speakers, including Dr. Mohammad Al Hazzazi, Dr. Hugo Hernan OcampoD, and Dr. Tamer H. Mahmoud, included insightful discussions, hands-on workshops, and thought-provoking case studies. Topics discussed included Diabetic Tractional Retinal Detachment, Methotrexate in Complicated PVR Cases, and Innovations in Endophthalmitis.

Sharing the achievements of Hashmanis Group, Arsalan Hashmani said, “HGH has been serving this profession for the past four decades. It was started by my father, the legend Dr. Shairf Hashmani,. In his concluding remarks, Arsalan Hahsmani said that today, our hospitals have the latest equipment, and our hospital group is the most equipped eye hospital in Pakistan, offering the most services and treatments.
Over 700 doctors from Pakistan and internationally, including from China, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, participated in the EV, which hosted exchanges of ideas and knowledge.
