Hamdard Foundation Pakistan and Friends of Burns Centre sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Hamdard Foundation Pakistan and Friends of Burns Centre have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at a ceremony, held on Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Jubilee Block, Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi. According to MOU, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan would offer a donation of Rs. 10 million on annual basis to the Pediatric ICU/Ward of Burns Centre to cover its whole yearly expenses.

Mrs. Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan and ZahidSaeed, President, Friends of Burns Centre signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Sadia Rashid while appreciating the services being rendered by the Burns Centre, said that this support was being given to the Centre in the light of ‘Service to humanity’ which was a main objective of Hamdard from the very first day.

Mr. Zahid Saeed while presenting a detail report on the performance of Friends of Burns Centre said that this was the only Centre in the country which had been providing facilities and services for burns’ treatment completely free of charge. The Centre was also running a hospital of 66-bed and twelve beds were fixed for the treatment of children only, he added.

He said that free treatment services of burns centre were made possible only through financial support of the concerned philanthropists and donor organizations such as Hamdard Foundation; he thanked Mrs. Sadia Rashid for announcing financial support for the burns centre on a regular basis.

Besides Fatima Munir Ahmed, Mutawallia, Hamdard Waqf; Prof. Dr. Saeed Qureshi; Prof. Dr. Tipu Sultan; Abdul QadirJ affer; Suhail P. Ahmed; M. Sabir Memon; Hamza Khan; Syed Mohammed Arsalan; Farhan Hanif; M. Abdullah Firoz; Anwar Maqsood and other important personalities also attended the ceremony.
