Gwadar Port marked another milestone in its growing transshipment operations with the berthing of MV Yuan Hang Wei Ye (IMO: 9371799) at 10:15 am on Monday.

The vessel, carrying 34,000 tonnes of cargo in nearly 20,000 packages, is engaged in transshipment activities with consignments bound for Abu Dhabi and Kuwait. The cargo will be offloaded at Gwadar before onward shipment to its destinations.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry hailed the development as a sign of increasing international confidence in Gwadar’s deep-sea facilities and its strategic position in regional trade. He emphasized that the government remains committed to expanding port infrastructure and services to attract greater volumes of global shipping traffic.
