Governor Sindh assures resolution of issues facing S.I.T.E. industries

Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi assured S.I.T.E. industrialists in Karachi of his full support in resolving their issues. He praised their efforts to sustain the industry and acknowledged their philanthropic contributions. During his visit, he emphasized that S.I.T.E. is Pakistan’s industrial brand ambassador and highlighted the nation’s historical economic strength.

He noted the industrialization policies of Mian Nawaz Sharif and mentioned the current government’s commitment to those principles. Governor Hashmi invited the Association to oversee ongoing development works in the S.I.T.E. area and pledged to address industry concerns, including proposed security measures and coordination meetings at Governor House.

S.I.T.E. President Abdul Rehman Fudda highlighted challenges such as gas shortages and high production costs. He proposed reforms for better management of S.I.T.E. Limited and requested a fair share of resources for Karachi. Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala stressed the need for a competitive environment for industries and highlighted Bangladesh’s success in textiles.

Other members discussed ongoing infrastructure projects and requested a meeting with the Federal Minister of Energy to address relevant industry challenges. The meeting included key figures from the Association, emphasizing collaboration for industrial growth.T
