State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed has said, pragmatic steps are being taken that will enable Gilgit Baltistan to play its due role in national development. The need is to ensure timely completion of the Gilgit Baltistan projects with the quality construction. Our endeavor is to solve basic issues of Gilgit Baltistan on priority. He was talking to Governor Gilgit Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon at Ministry of Communications here today. The senior officers of Ministry of Communications and Gilgit Baltistan were also present.

Mr. Murad Saeed said, Gilgit Baltistan will remain a part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and to this effect practical advancement is being made on Joint Coordination Council level. Projects like Chitral-Chakdara, Kohat-D.I Khan, Hakla-D.I.Khan and Chitral Skardu stand among our priorities and will be completed with dedication and devotion.

Governor Gilgit Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon desired implementation of law of 2009 for restoration of identity of Gilgit Baltistan. He said, identity of Gilgit Baltistan as province is a long standing demand of the people there. He said, development of the backward and developing areas is also included in vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan. Both the leaders determined to reduce the problems of the people of the Gilgit Baltistan and complete all the schemes including highway projects at the earliest.
