Syed Aman Shah, Provincial President of the Awaam Pakistan Party Balochistan, has said the severe gas shortage and supply cuts in Quetta have made citizens’ lives miserable. The city is experiencing intense cold weather, yet residents are unable to access gas even in their homes, leaving them facing severe mental distress and hardships. The unavailability of gas in a provincial capital like Quetta raises serious questions about the government’s performance.
Meanwhile, despite LPG being imported from Iran, its prices continue to soar beyond the reach of ordinary citizens, leaving people deprived of this alternative fuel source.
He said that gas is a basic necessity during the winter season. However, unfortunately, citizens are struggling to meet even their most essential needs, such as cooking food and heating their homes. Persistent gas outages and extremely low pressure have brought daily life to a standstill. Instead of progressing, Quetta appears to have been pushed back into the Stone Age.
Syed Aman Shah, Provincial President of Awaam Pakistan Party, urged the government and relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the public’s hardships and ensure an uninterrupted gas supply. He said people are already burdened by inflation and other economic challenges, and depriving them of a basic necessity like gas during the harsh winter is an injustice.
He demanded that authorities resolve the gas shortages and low gas pressure in Quetta immediately and provide meaningful relief to the people.
