The FPCCI delegation met Prime Minister, Advisor to the PM on Finance, Advisor to the PM on Commerce and Chairman, FBR on 20th June, 2019 under the leadership of Mr. S.M. Muneer, Former CE, TDAP and Former President, FPCCI along with Engr. Daroo Khan Achakzai, President, FPCCI. Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, SVP, Zubair F. Tufail, Former President and Vice Presidents of FPCCI.

They presented 10 demands out of which 7 demands were accepted and 3 demands were not agreed to i.e. Zero Rating for 5 Export Oriented Industrial Sectors; Restoration of FTR Regime for Commercial Importers and Reduction in Services Sector Taxation. The Finance Advisor and Chairman, FBR accepted majority of demands i.e. no raids on taxpayer’s premises, audit to be carried after 3 years instead of every year, Sales of goods against CNIC was amended that no tax / or notices to be given to these CNIC holders for 2 years and FBR notification in this respect will be issued on Monday, Cottage Industry laws will be amended, etc.
