FPCCI and CCPIT form alliance for Land – Sea Corridor

Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of FPCCI, has informed that, in a landmark development, FPCCI and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) have formed an alliance for a land–to–sea corridor, which comprises chambers of commerce and industries of 17 regional, subregional, and economically significant countries.

Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh participated in the alliance session mentioned above as the founding member, which was held in Chongqing, China. He added that it is an important achievement for Pakistan on the international stage.

FPCCI Chief maintained that the apex body will explore investment, joint ventures and trade opportunities in mines & minerals; information technology and IT-enabled services (ITeS); agriculture & livestock; food processing & storage; infrastructure development and renewable & alternative energy sources with their Chinese counterparts.

The high-profile FPCCI delegation to the Alliance of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of International Land-Sea Trade Corridor also included Mr Malik Sohail Hussain, Chairman of Coordination, FPCCI and Mr Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman of Capital Office, FPCCI.
