SM Tanveer, Chief Patron of the United Business Group (UBG), attributed the rise in fuel prices to the situation in the Middle East and highlighted the strengthening of Pakistan-Iran relations. He called for economic autonomy at the divisional level during the inauguration of the Malik Group’s EV Charging Corporate Office.

Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Chairman of Malik Group, announced plans for over 3,000 EV charging stations in Pakistan, including 391 in Karachi, in collaboration with the Sindh government. He emphasised the importance of EV charging in tackling the energy crisis.

Tanveer also discussed the government’s housing scheme to build 500,000 homes and urged affordable options for middle-class families. The event concluded with Tanveer’s inauguration of the charging station.
