Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani has said that Five Matches of PSL will be held in Karachi where the event last for ten days, we have been done with the foolproof plane of security and transportation and working with the security institutions. Karachi is again going to be called the city of lights.
He was addressing a press conference at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi along with President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah and Municipal Commissioner Karachi Saif Ur Rahaman. He said that the people of Karachi are very excited about the event where five matches of PSL will be held here.
To ensure the security and other relevant things, a committee headed by the Minister for Local Government institutions Sindh Saeed Ghani has been set up to overlook the event and its preparations he further said. He said that the city of Karachi has been declared as a “Sports City” and the banners will be hanged in the city to decorate it. Big Screens will be set up in the different parks and open areas to accommodate the people who can’t go to the stadium or get a ticket and particularly for the families. The commissioner Karachi said that people might face some issues regarding traffic and other stuff however the road and routes towards stadium will be available and open for any emergency. “We are expecting that people will help us and give up some things to bring cricket back into the Pakistan” He further added. While addressing president Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah has said that Karachi had been faced many communal violence and extremism but the lights of Karachi are restoring and we are working to bring the virtue back.
He further added that all the institutions of the state are working together to make the even successful where CM house, Saeed Ghani and Murtaza Wahab are taking personal interest in the event and its success.
On the occasion Municipal commissioner Karachi Dr. Saif Ur Rehman said that the security will be foolproof where we are cleaning the city as much as possible, we all are passionate to bring Cricket back in Pakistan.
