Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb visited the National Bank of Pakistan’s Head Office in Karachi on Thursday and met Mr. Imran Sarwar, President, NBP. Mr. Naved A. Khan, Chairman, NBP, was also present.

The Finance Minister congratulated Mr. Imran Sarwar on his appointment and wished him well in his new role. The meeting covered matters related to the Bank, as well as broader issues in the financial sector.
President NBP briefed the Minister on NBP’s initiatives and performance, including its efforts to promote and support women’s Financial Inclusion, economic participation, digital transformation and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). He also apprised the Minister of the Bank’s efforts to improve customer services and facilities.

The two sides exchanged views on the banking sector’s role in supporting the country’s financial and economic priorities.
