FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited, in collaboration with the University of Central Punjab, hosted an event in Lahore to celebrate World Milk Day and Food Safety Day 2026, focusing on “Strengthening Dairy Food Safety in Pakistan.”

Dr. Kanza Aziz Awan from UCP emphasized the shared responsibility of ensuring safe, nutritious food, while Dr. Muhammad Aamir Iqbal from FrieslandCampina highlighted the critical role of safe, packaged milk in Pakistan’s food security.

Key guests, including Ms. Salma Butt and Mr. Munir Hussain Chopra, discussed the need for policy alignment to combat food adulteration.

The event addressed misconceptions about packaged milk, noting that 92% of Pakistan’s milk market consists of unsafe, loose milk. The discussions culminated in policy recommendations to enhance dairy safety and improve nutrition in Pakistan.
