Faysal Bank reports resilient growth and strong results in the first half of 2026

Faysal Bank Limited (FBL) reported a strong performance in H1 2026, achieving a Profit Before Tax of PKR 20.5 billion and a net profit of PKR 10 billion, with Earnings Per Share at PKR 6.60. The Bank declared a second-quarter cash dividend of PKR 1.5 per share.

Despite lower market rates, FBL’s profitability surged, driven by a 9.5% growth in deposits to PKR 1.56 trillion and a 21% increase in current accounts to PKR 646 billion. The current account mix improved to 41.4%, and CASA strengthened to 86.8%. Asset quality remained solid with an infection ratio of 2.3%, and the successful issuance of a PKR 7 billion Tier II Sukuk bolstered the capital base.

Mr. Juma Abul, CEO, expressed confidence in the Bank’s growth strategy and commitment to sustainable value creation in Islamic banking. Mr. Mian Muhammad Younis, Chairman, highlighted the effectiveness of the Board’s strategic direction. Mr. Yousaf Hussain, President & CEO, affirmed the Bank’s focus on expanding its product offerings and network.
