Ericsson highlights 5G and AI growth potential at EU–Pakistan Business Forum 2026

Ericsson showcased the importance of advanced connectivity and AI in driving Pakistan’s digital economy at the EU–Pakistan Business Forum 2026. The two-day event, held in Islamabad, gathered government officials, technology leaders, and investors to discuss investment and cooperation between Pakistan and the EU.

Ericsson emphasized that next-generation networks and AI can enhance productivity across sectors such as logistics, energy, mobility, and finance, which are vital to Pakistan’s economic growth.

Aamir Ahsan, Ericsson Pakistan’s Country President, stressed the need for public–private partnerships and conducive policies to harness the full potential of 5G and AI.

At the forum, Ericsson demonstrated its innovations in high-performance networks, which support new business models and improve operational efficiency. This engagement aligns with Pakistan’s focus on developing digital infrastructure as a pillar of economic growth and on attracting foreign investment.
