Economic development is inevitable without a healthy society, KATI

Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) President Faraz-ur-Rehman said in a seminar organized in collaboration with Essa Laboratories that a healthy nation is necessary for achieving economic development. Our future generation is at risk due to polio, thalassemia and other hereditary diseases. Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Mohammadi & special guests Dr. Farhan Essa, District Health Officer Korangi Afzal Odho and others participated in the ceremony.

President KATI added that it is our responsibility to protect our future generation from deadly diseases. KATI has played its role and taken many initiatives for a healthy society in the past, including a campaign against thalassemia, and vaccination against COVID-19 which benefited thousands of employees working in the Korangi industrial area.

Faraz-ur-Rehman said that Pakistan still has diseases like polio and thalassemia and safety measures are needed as of today. He said that we need to get rid of these diseases to bring Pakistan into the ranks of developing countries. In this regard, KATI is taking all steps to mobilize the business community to achieve a healthy society through such seminars and campaigns while fulfilling its responsibility.

President KATI said that in this regard, he is also grateful to Dr. Farhan Essa, who actively participated in the vaccination campaign in KATI. Dr. Farhan Essa, CEO of Essa Laboratories also addressed the event.
