easypaisa digital bank has partnered with Transsion, one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturers, to expand access to digital financial services in Pakistan. Under the collaboration, the easypaisa app will be pre-installed on more than five million new smartphones across Transsion’s brands—Infinix, TECNO, and itel—allowing users to access banking services immediately upon device activation.
With smartphone adoption rising and 3G/4G device uptake reaching 71.6%, the initiative aims to bridge financial accessibility gaps, especially for underserved and unbanked populations. The agreement was signed in Islamabad by Farhan Hassan, Chief Digital Officer, easypaisa, and Michael Wang, Vice President, Global Partnerships, Transsion, alongside senior representatives.
Farhan Hassan said the partnership simplifies access to financial services by embedding them directly into smartphones, removing barriers and expanding reach. Muhammad Abdul Qadeer, Country Manager, Transsion Pakistan, highlighted the collaboration’s potential to make financial inclusion a natural part of the smartphone journey.
The partnership combines Transsion’s extensive smartphone footprint with easypaisa’s suite of digital banking products, strengthening customer acquisition and app penetration. It reflects a shared commitment to ecosystem partnerships that accelerate digital adoption and inclusion.
As Pakistan’s first digital bank, easypaisa continues to expand its ecosystem through strategic collaborations. With over 60 million registered users, the bank remains aligned with the State Bank of Pakistan’s vision for inclusive economic growth, serving both existing customers and millions of unbanked citizens.
