Delegation of Tanzania Chamber of Commerce call on KATI

A business delegation headed by President of Tanzania Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TCCI) Paul Koyi called on Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI). President of KATI Saleem-uz-Zaman, Chairman & CEO KITE Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice President Zaki Sharif and Vice President Nighat Awan welcomed the delegation.

On this occasion, Head of delegation and President TCCI Mr. Koyi said Tea is one of the biggest imports of Pakistan, however usually people think that this tea came from Kenya but one third of that tea is produced in Tanzania, he highlighted “if Pakistan would directly import tea from Tanzania, you can save millions of dollars of your foreign exchange”. He said that there are vast opportunities of investment in Tanzania, especially in agro production and processing, Pharmaceuticals, industrial production and manufacturing sectors. He said that Pakistani investor would be more than welcome in Tanzania, as we need investment in industrial sector and you people have great potential in it.

President KATI Saleem-uz-Zaman said that while both countries have cordial relations and cultural similarities both on economic front, there is still a great potential to enhance the trade volume and economic relations. On this occasion prominent Pakistani businessman Rafique Pardaisi introduced the members of delegation and shared his business experiences in Tanzania. Former presidents of KATI Ehtesham Uddin, Farhan-ur-Rehman, Syed Wajid Hussain and others also participated the meeting.
