‘Daana-e-Raaz’ launched to relive the legacy of Allama Iqbal

The leading eCommerce platform in Pakistan, Daraz, on this Pakistan Day is taking the legacy of Allama Iqbal forward by promoting the launch of ‘Daana-e-Raaz’ a Deewan by Azaad Iqbal, the grandson of Allama Iqbal. The launch was held at Arts Council Pakistan (ACP) in Karachi on March 24.

Following the footsteps of his grandfather, Azad Iqbal served the national culture with his ‘Deewan’ Daana-e-Raaz. Dr Peerzada Qasim Siddiqui, Sahar Ansari, Ambreen Haseeb Amber and Mubeen Mirza also graced the event with their presence and highlighted the importance of deewan in the current era.

Head of Marketing & Communication of Daraz, Urooj Ahmed, expressed her views on the poetic collection and vision of Daraz, saying, “Daraz aspires to revive Allama Iqbal’s ideology, philosophy, and artistic expression to reconnect the nation with them. It’s inspiring to see a Deewan from his family, which confirms Azad Iqbal’s status as a true descendant and flag bearer of Shair-e-Mashriq. The poetic collection aims to bring the country closer to poetry, impart wisdom, and instill a love of reading in the next generation.”

Poet Azad Iqbal said he has followed in his grandfather’s footsteps by using poetry to reflect the true meaning of life. The poet expressed his thoughts and feelings about the publication of Daana-e-Raaz; ” All my poems attempt to capture the basic essence of my grandfather’s philosophy. I want the young generation to get closer to our language and literature. Daana-e-Raaz is a result of sheer love from my family and friends. I thank Daraz for supporting me and playing an important part to revive the golden period of literature.”
