Coca-Cola rolls out Waste Wise Management Bins in Punjab

Coca-Cola Pakistan has partnered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of Punjab and the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department to support Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Waste Wise Management Process.” This initiative promotes waste segregation at source across Punjab.

As part of this collaboration, Coca-Cola is implementing the Waste Wise Certification program in ten model schools, providing each with five color-coded bins for paper, glass, organic waste, metal, and plastic. This will enhance recycling and responsible disposal, supported by educational boards for students.

Dr. Faisal Hashmi from Coca-Cola Pakistan expressed pride in backing sustainable waste management. Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh from the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department acknowledged the importance of collaboration among the government, the private sector, and citizens.

The initiative will improve waste segregation and recycling practices in schools while fostering environmental responsibility among students, empowering them to contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable Punjab.
