Mr. Bilal Saeed, Chief Executive Officer, CMA CGM Pak, called on Rear Admiral Shahid Ahmed SI(M), S.Bt (Retd.), Chairman, KPT. The meeting focused on strengthening KPT–CMA CGM collaboration, enhancing maritime connectivity, and further facilitating Pakistan’s international trade and exports.

Key discussion points included launching a direct shipping route from KPT to Europe and the USA/Canada, and providing additional space on current ships visiting KPT. The CEO of CMA CGM appreciated the ongoing developments at KPT, particularly the mega dredging operations.

The CEO reiterated that the enhanced draught will open new avenues for the shipping sector to bring mother ships to KPT, which will help lower the cost of doing business in Pakistan. The KPT Chairman assured CMA CGM of full facilitation to expand its business at KPT.
