Cement dealers suspended the supply chain from today.

Dealers in Pakistan are planning to go on strike, which may significantly impact the sales and distribution of cement in Pakistan. The strike is in response to negative Federal Budget 2024-25 tax measures, which have made it difficult for businesses to operate.

The All Pakistan Cement Distributors Association (APCDA) has informed the government about the challenges faced by the cement distribution business following the enforcement of the new budget. They have expressed that heavy taxes are making it hard for dealers and retailers to operate their businesses and have announced an indefinite strike starting from July 13th.

The association has highlighted the burden of heavy taxes and requested that the government reconsider the tax measures to make the cement business more sustainable. As Chaudhry Sajid Ali, chairman of APCDA, stated, the strike will continue until their demands are met, showing the association’s unwavering determination.
