The Diabetes Centre conducted a one-day capacity-building session titled “Shaping the Future of Diabetes Management”, designed for General Practitioners (GPs) and Medical Officers (MOs). The course aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills in managing diabetes and its complications, focusing on improving patient outcomes and integrating the latest advancements into everyday practice.
The session was held at the TDC headquarters under the leadership of Dr. Asjad Hameed, Chairman and consultant Endocrinologist. Organized by Dr. Sonia Bakhtiar, Diabetologist and Dr. Ahsan Nisar, Cardiologist. The capacity-building session attracted a diverse group of healthcare professionals from various locations, contributing to a highly interactive and enriching learning experience.
The key highlights included insights into the latest advancements in diabetes care and treatment protocols and management of diabetes complications. Practical strategies for effective diabetes management in primary care settings were discussed, and engaging case studies and interactive discussions deepened the participants’ clinical understanding. After the course, all participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their commitment to continuing medical education and enhancing diabetes care in their practice.
