Businessmen Group (MG), Progressive Businessmen Group (PBG) Baluchistan announce full support to Businessmen Panel

Keeping in view the current economic situation and the challenges being faced by the business and industrial community, the ruling Businessmen Group (BMG) of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Progressive Businessmen Group (PBG), which is the representative of Chambers and Associations of Baluchistan province, agreed to have fearless and eligible leadership at the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and announced to fully support Businessmen Panel (BMP) in the FPCCI elections.

Businessmen Group and Progressive Businessmen Group, while vowing to implement the strategy for collectively serving the business community, stated that keeping in view the overall mandate and consultation between the business communities of Karachi and Baluchistan, they have decided to fully support BMP and were fairly optimistic that voters from all four provinces would also fully support BMP.

According to a statement issued by Secretary General BMG AQ Khalil, a meeting was held between the leaderships of both Groups in Karachi which was attended by Chairman BMP Anjum Nisar, Chairman BMG Zubair Motiwala, Patron-in-Chief PBG Ghulam Farooq, President FPCCI Nasir Hayat Magoon, Senior Vice President FPCCI Khuwaja Shazaib Akram, Vice Chairmen BMG Anjum Nisar and Jawed Bilwani, Secretary General AQ Khalil, President KCCI Muhammad Idrees, Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Naqi, Vice President Qazi Zahid Hussain, Former President KCCI Junaid Makda, Chairman PBG Jumma Khan, General Secretary PBG Wali Khan, Presidential candidate Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, candidate for Senior Vice President’s slot Suleman Chawla and candidate of Vice President’s position Shaukat Suleman.

Business community’s representatives, while expressing pleasure over the decision taken at the meeting, extended full support to BMP and termed the decision to support BMP as ‘favorable’.

They also condemned misbehaving attitude towards the members of election commission who must be allowed to carry out their responsibilities independently and transparently.

President FPCCI Nasir Hayat Magoo, on the occasion, informed that he was leaving behind a sum of Rs240 million at the FPCCI which was highest figure as compared to the past.
