· Bulls Triumph the show at PSX Today, The Benchmark KSE-100 Index opened 5% up by 2,231 Points Halting the session as bourse continued to trade above 5% after the opening bell. The session resumed with the Bullish momentum to stay Green all day long as investor celebrated the long-awaited SLA by IMF for 3 billion dollars stand by arrangement. Volumes were noteworthy across the board. The session remained 6% up to help the index close at 43,899 points, highest-ever gain in the single day.
· The index closed at 43,899 up by 2,446.32pts (+5.9% DoD). Sectors contributing to the performance include Commercial Banks (+554.4pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+300.4pts), Fertilizer (+276.4pts), Cement (+271.9pts) and Technology & Communication (+251.3pts).
· Volumes increased from 234.7mn shares to 381.9mn shares (+62.7% DoD). The average traded value also increased by 16.1% to USD 30.4mn as against USD 26.1mn.
· Stocks that contributed significantly to the volumes were WTL, KEL, CNERGY, TELE and FFL.
