AMPAK-BDF, USDA delegates meet to enhance retail & Agri Trade

A high level delegation of America Pakistan Business Development Forum ((AMPAK-BDF), held a meeting with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), represented by Mr. Christopher Rittgers, USDA Agricultural Counselor, US Embassy Islamabad, along with Mr. Rashid Yaqoob Raja, Agricultural Marketing Specialist, U.S. Embassy Islamabad, to discuss the need of enhancing the retail & agri trade and exploring new business opportunities between the two countries.

The delegation was lead by Mr. Munsub Abrar, CEO Naheed Super Market & President Retail Industry AMPAK-BDF, along with Imtiaz Hussain Sheikh, President AMPAK-BDF & CEO Imtiaz Enterprises, Syed Nasser Wajahat General Secretary AMPAK-BDF, Farhan Baig Samrah Enterprises, Mazz Yahya Ecada Corporation, Umair Mateen S.M. Chawla Industries, Daniyal Pak International, and Ehmed Khaturia H.S. Company.

The delegates explored the possibilities to enhance the trade activities further, and discussed the challenges in retail and distribution sectors in Pakistan.

Sharing his thoughts about the meeting, Mr. Munsub Abrar, CEO Naheed Super Market & President Retail Industry AMPAK-BDF, said “Just this year our two countries celebrated the 75 years of business partnership, and agreed to explore more trade opportunities particularly in the growing retail sector of Pakistan. This meeting is in continuation of the same goal, and will help the retail sector of Pakistan with best practices from the US market”.

The meeting concluded on the note that AMPAK-BDF and USDA will assist the Government and people of Pakistan in this time of need, the flood situation and the aftermaths, in every way possible to revive the agriculture and retail sector as quickly as possible.
