The Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN) concluded its 10th Annual Microfinance Conference (AMC‑X), held with UNIDO under the EU‑funded PAIDAR programme, marking a decade of policy dialogue and industry collaboration.
Under the theme “Pathways for Inclusive Growth,” the two‑day event stressed moving beyond access to measurable outcomes such as borrower graduation, job creation and women’s participation. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb urged adoption of cash‑flow‑based lending and digital credit tools, while Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah called for client‑centric products and welcomed PAIDAR Innovation Labs.
Key outcomes included expansion of the PAIDAR guarantee facility with NCGCL from PKR 200m to PKR 4.2bn, targeting 50% financing for women, and a PKR 1bn renewable energy financing agreement between PMIC and NRSP.
Sessions highlighted women’s agency, climate resilience, Islamic microfinance, AI and regulation, with awards recognizing HBL Microfinance Bank, NRSP, Dr. Amjad Saqib and Naved A. Khan.
AMC‑X reaffirmed PMN’s role in turning financial inclusion into inclusive economic growth.
