ACCA Pakistan successfully held Corporate Conferences 2024 in three major cities: Peshawar, Faisalabad, and Multan. With Pakistan’s challenging economic situation in focus, this year’s event theme was ‘Being Bold: Seizing Opportunity for the Future’. Corporate Conferences 2024 by ACCA Pakistan featured an impressive line-up of the country’s top thought leaders while addressing and providing solutions for issues like AI, sustainability, and talent development.

The Corporate Conferences were a forum for leaders and policymakers to develop innovative solutions and foster agreement for the region’s growth. Several panel discussions and keynotes were part of the ACCA Pakistan Corporate Conferences 2024, addressing today’s key business and economic challenges.

The inaugural session of the Corporate Conferences 2024 was held in Peshawar and opened by Asad Malik Mehmood, Head of Business Development—North at ACCA, who emphasized the role of professional accountants in nation-building. The event’s chief guest, Muzzammil Aslam, Advisor on Finance to the Chief Minister of KP, outlined the province’s roadmap to economic growth and highlighted the government’s key short-term and long-term priorities.

A notable panel discussion on “Drivers of Economic Growth: Sustainability, Technology, and Talent—Are We Ready?” highlighted the necessity of sustainability for long-term economic growth, the transformative impact of technology on the financial sector, and the challenges and strategies for attracting and retaining talent in the audit profession.

The event also included an ACCA Practical Experience Supervisors Recognition Ceremony and a closing address by Fahad Saeed, Business Development Manager, ACCA Pakistan.

Shah Muhammad Khan, Business Development Manager at ACCA, opened the second session, held in Faisalabad. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on monitoring and implementation, was the Chief Guest. He shared Faisalabad’s roadmap to economic growth and highlighted the government’s key short-term and long-term priorities.

The panel discussion, ‘Transforming the Textile Ecosystem: Embracing Sustainability and AI for Growth,’ moderated by Zeeshan Shahid, Project Director, NIC Faisalabad, highlighted the transformative impact of technology on the Textile sector.

The 2024 edition of ACCA Pakistan Corporate Conferences closed off with its last series session in Multan. Mian Rashid Iqbal, President of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Prof Dr. Muhammad Zubair Iqbal, Vice Chancellor BZU Multan were the Guest of Honor. They shared Multan’s roadmap to economic growth and highlighted the government’s priorities and suggestions based on current challenges.

A panel discussion on “Leading the AI Era: Empowering Talent for Sustainable Growth and Innovation,” moderated by Anab Arshad from TMUC Lahore, highlighted the importance of sustainability, and the transformative impact of technology on our business sector.

Faisalabad and Multan Corporate Conferences also included an ACCA Member Quarter Million Achievement Ceremony, followed by a closing address by Muhammad Shahid Khan, Education Relationship Lead, ACCA Pakistan.

The aim of the conferences is to develop a meaningful framework for growth, facilitate ideation, and shape forward-thinking policy choices and business opportunities, focusing on high-impact actions to contribute to the country’s progress. The leaders will convene again for further discussions and networking.
