A high-level meeting of the Awaam Pakistan Party’s Central Committee Islamabad was held under the chairmanship of the party’s central leader, Dr. Zafar Mirza, in Islamabad. Syed Aman Shah, Provincial Convener of Balochistan, attended the meeting as the guest of honor. The meeting was also attended by Central Leader Awaam Pakistan Fatima Atif, Central Leader Tariq Bonri, Provincial Convener of Punjab, district representatives, and party workers.
The key agenda of the meeting was to review the current political and social situation, discuss organizational matters, and develop a relief plan for those affected by the recent devastating floods in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the meeting, deep concern was expressed over the human and financial losses caused by the severe flooding in KPK. Dr. Zafar Mirza stated that the natural disaster has destroyed hundreds of homes and left thousands of families homeless, forced to live under open skies. He emphasized the urgent need for food, clean drinking water, medical aid, and temporary shelter for the affected communities.
Addressing the meeting, Syed Aman Shah affirmed that as always, Awaam Pakistan stands firmly with the nation in this time of crisis. Dr. Zafar Mirza announced that the party has formulated a comprehensive relief plan under which immediate aid efforts will be launched in the affected areas of KPK. A dedicated relief team is being formed to work in coordination with local organizational workers. This team will oversee the distribution of food rations, provision of temporary shelters, medical assistance, and other essential services.
Dr. Zafar Mirza also highlighted the public health risks following the floods, stressing the potential outbreak of waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and dengue. He said Awam Pakistan will promptly set up medical camps in the flood-hit areas to provide free medical consultations, medicines, and basic health services to the victims.
In his remarks, Syed Aman Shah reiterated that the situation requires a united national response, transcending political differences. He stated that Awaam Pakistan would lead from the front in this humanitarian effort.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the party leadership instructed all members and volunteers to actively participate in the relief efforts and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the affected people. Appeals were also made to philanthropists, welfare organizations, and the general public to come forward and support their fellow citizens in need.
