Toyota employees transform their Independence Day pride into a sense of civic duty

After Independence Day celebrations, employees of Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC), the manufacturer of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, volunteered for a National Flag Collection Drive to clean up flags and buntings left in public spaces. This initiative, which took place in areas like Steel Town, Surjani Town, and Orangi Town, aims to ensure national symbols are treated with respect.

Collected flags were brought to IMC for proper handling. Ali Asghar Jamali, CEO of IMC, emphasized that the drive reflects the company’s commitment to corporate citizenship and community involvement. He stated, “Respecting the dignity of our national flag is a simple responsibility, but an important one.”

The drive, part of IMC’s Employee Volunteering Program under its CSR platform, Concern Beyond Cars, promotes values of discipline and respect that the company embodies. By participating, employees demonstrate that celebrating Pakistan also involves taking responsibility for the communities they share. This annual tradition showcases IMC’s dedication to contributing to society beyond manufacturing.
