Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is intensifying its efforts to combat gas theft in Sindh and Balochistan. During a recent crackdown in Karachi, SSGC teams conducted multiple raids and uncovered a large-scale gas theft network on Kacha Road near Nipa Flyover. Thieves had illegally tapped into SSGC’s pipeline, supplying stolen gas to around 400 households via a direct connection.

Investigations revealed that they charged households an advance of PKR 20,000 and a monthly fee of PKR 2,500 for illegal gas connections. FIRs have been filed against three individuals involved. SSGC emphasizes its zero-tolerance policy towards gas theft and urges customers to report any incidents through their helpline, mobile app, or social media.
