BankIslami partnered with WWF Pakistan to organize a mangrove plantation and beach-cleaning drive to commemorate World Environment Day. This initiative aligns with the bank’s Green Office Certification and commitment to sustainability.

The event was held at WWF Pakistan’s Wetland Centre along Karachi’s coastline, where participants planted Avicennia saplings and learned about mangrove species and their ecological benefits. BankIslami employees also engaged in beach cleaning to protect the marine ecosystem.

Notable attendees included BankIslami’s COO Sohail Sikandar and other executives. President & CEO Rizwan Ata emphasized the bank’s commitment to a green and sustainable future, stating that responsible banking extends beyond financial services.
