The Memon Leadership Forum (MLF) has formally proposed Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace Prize, recognising his leadership, commitment to regional stability, and efforts to promote peace and security.
In a joint statement issued by Abdul Rahim Janoo, President MLF (Global), Akhter Arfa, Chairman MLF Pakistan Chapter, Rafique Suleman, Chairman MLF East Africa Chapter, Humza Tabani, Secretary General MLF (Global), Senior Member MLF, Jawed Jillani, Shahid Boby, Abdul Rauf Dany, Abdul Jabbar Rathore, Asif Ismail, Faisal Anis and Jawed Iqbal, they highlighted Field Marshal Munir’s role in strengthening national security, supporting counter-terrorism initiatives, and contributing to peace-building measures within the region. The organisation emphasised that his strategic vision and leadership have played a significant part in fostering stability during challenging times.
Rahim Janoo, President MLF (Global), appealed to the Government of Pakistan to officially endorse and pursue this nomination at the international level. MLF believes that formal backing by the Pakistani Government would reinforce Pakistan’s commitment to peace and enhance the credibility of the nomination process.
“Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s leadership reflects dedication to peace, resilience, and national integrity. We strongly urge the Government of Pakistan to take the necessary steps to submit and support his candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize,” He added
He reiterated its commitment to recognising individuals who contribute meaningfully to peace, stability, and global harmony, and expressed hope that this proposal will receive serious consideration at both national and international levels.
