Karachi Port Trust recorded the handling of 157,967 metric tons of cargo

Karachi Port Trust recorded the handling of 157,967 metric tons of cargo during the last 24 hours. Breakup shows that the port handled 28,209 matric Tons of Export Cargo and 129,758 matric Tons of Import Cargo during the said period, which features the handling of 21,679 matric Tons of Bulk Cargo imports, 9,072 Tons of Di Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) imports, 4,700 matric Tons of Clinker exports and 308 matric Tons of Rice exports at Karachi Port besides the containers handling at private terminals located at the port.

7 Ships arrived at Karachi Port while 9 ships sailed out from the port. The breakup shows that, in addition to a tanker and a Clinker ship each, five container vessels arrived at Karachi Port during the last 24 hours. Similarly, seven container vessels sailed from the port during the same period, besides a fertiliser and a tanker ship. Two more sailings are expected today, and the arrival of seven ships is also anticipated today. The ships arriving today will be loading Rice and discharging Ammonium and MOGAS at Karachi Port, in addition to handling four container ships. Three ships out of 5 ships arriving tomorrow will discharge chemicals soybean seeds, and the rest of the two ships are scheduled to load and discharge containers at the port.
