Thalassemia awareness meet up held at KATI

A meeting regarding awareness of Thalassemia held at Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI). Chairman of Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Centre (KITCC) Muhammad Iqbal and COO Lt. Col(R) Syed Asif Ali briefed about the awareness importance, medical care of the patients and activities of KITCC in this regard. This meeting was participated by President KATI Danish Khan, SVP Faraz-ur-Rehman, VP Maheen Salman, Head of KATI’s Standing Committee on Food Safety and Health Umer Rehan, Chairman & CEO KITE Zubair Chhaya and others.

President KATI Danish Khan said that Patron-in-Chief of KATI SM Muneer always supports such projects to help needy people of the country, especially in health sector. He said that it is our collective responsibility to promote public welfare activities and institutions. Danish Khan further said that businessmen in Pakistan always support public welfare activities and institution; we should promote collective efforts to fight back challenges of public health such as Thalassemia. Umer Rehan applauded the services of KITCC to fight thalassemia and efforts to spreading awareness about the disease. He suggested that there should be a coordination mechanism between business community and such institution to build a better working relation.
