A delegation from the 40th Senior Management Course (SMC), NIPA Karachi, visited KPT Head Office and received a briefing from Chairman KPT Rear Admiral Shahid Ahmed, SI(M), S.Bt (Retd), on KPT’s infrastructure, development projects, digitalisation, Smart & Green Port initiatives, and operational performance.

The delegation also visited South Asia Pakistan Terminals Limited (SAPTL), Hutchison Ports, where it received a briefing on terminal operations and witnessed AI-backed, computerised cargo handling through STS gantry cranes.

The visit gave participants first-hand insight into modern, technology-driven port operations and Karachi Port’s ongoing development initiatives.
