Deputy Inspector General Karachi East Aamir Farooqui said that security of Industrial zones is the top most priority of Police, while addressing a gathering of Industrialists at Korangi Association of Trade& Industry here on Monday.

He also sanctioned 40 more security personals of 15 force for patrolling in Korangi Industrial Area.

President KATI Danish Khan, Chairman & CEO KITE Zubair Chhaya , Senior Vice President Faraz ur Rehman, Vice President Maheen Salman , head of KATI’s standing committee on law & order Nadeem Khan, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan , Former Presidents Tariq Malik, Farhan ur Rehman, Akbar Farooqui and others welcomed the DIG at the head office of the association.

DIG police East zone Aamir Farooqui said that to fight back miscreants and emergency like situation, a broad based strategy would be introduced. He said that a special crime monitoring cell could be established in KIA to look after law and order in the area, with mutual consultation.

President KATI Danish Khan briefed the DIG about Korangi Industrial area and issues regarding law and order. He urged the DIG to enhance traffic management in the locality to curb street crimes. He also appreciated the efforts of police to enforce law in KIA and the city. Head of KATI’s Standing Committee on Law & Order Nadeem Khan told that a month ago appointed SSP Ali Raza was performing great and he has captured more than 450 culprits, wanted in different crimes. He said that officials under DIG East Aamir Farooqui were doing great job to curb crimes in the zone. Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan said that we all agreed to cooperate with police but now the practical aspects of this consent should be shape up. Chairman & CEO KITE Zubair Chhaya said that during the protests erupted after an apex court decision, the uncertainty again prevailed in the city. He said that although the matter was highly sensitive but police could make a deterrence against miscreants, who were attacking industrial units. While responding to the question DIG assured that in future in case of any emergency situation the protection of Industrial area would be ensured.
