KATI organized seminar on International Diabetes Day

In collaboration with Dr. Essa Laboratories and Diagnostic Centre, a seminar was organized on the occasion of International Diabetes Day at the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI).  The purpose of the seminar was to aware members of KATI regarding this disease. Mr. Muhammad Danish Khan, President KATI, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Mr. Faraz-ur-Rehman, Senior Vice President KATI, Ms. Maheen Salman, Vice President KATI and other members participated in the seminar.

On the occasion, Dr. Nayyer Jabeen, Regional Head of the Dr. Essa Laboratories, while giving presentation explained that sugar can cause other diseases and it is therefore, critically spreading at fast pace. However, while it cannot be completely eradicated, it can certainly be controlled with balance diet and regular exercise. She added that we need to aware our people as sugar is like a silent killer.

Mr. Muhammad Danish Khan, President KATI, expressed that diabetes is rapidly spreading in developing countries like Pakistan. He shared that according to a report, millions of people across the globe are affected with diabetes and it can be controlled with healthy diet and daily exercise. President KATI viewed that according to diabetes experts, our imbalance lifestyle and frequent consumption of fast food are few of the causes of this rapid increase in sugar disease. Notably, free blood, sugar and other medical tests were also arranged for the participants of the seminar.
