A book launching ceremony of “Kulyaat-e-Muneef Ashar” by Canadian based poet and critic Muneef Ashar was held in Arts Council of Pakistan. Speaking on the event, Dr. Auj-e-Kamal said that Muneef is a key member of literary society in Canada, I wish he could have come to Pakistan earlier. He said that Muneef has not written a single word about himself in these 1184 pages, one can imply that the poet is selfless and has no ego. Poets, critics and people from literary community attended the event.

President of the ceremony, Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui appreciated Muneef for writing this wonderful poetry and said that his poetry is meaningful and a symbol of Muneef’s art of writing. Other speakers also expressed their views and said that “Kulyaat-e-Muneef Ahsar” can work as an accompaniment tool for the lonely and despaired.

At the end of the event, Muneef Ashar for whom this evening was graced thanked the attendees and said that I never made any corrections in my poetry after writing it because I knew whatever I am transferring to the pages is coming straight out of my heart. “My poetry is my heart’s voice”, said Muneef.
