Lahore is gearing up to celebrate its beloved festival, Basant, and Yango Pakistan is joining the festivities by offering Lahoris free rickshaw rides and deliveries from 6–8 February 2026*. This initiative aims to spread festive cheer while making travel and deliveries safer during the celebrations, aligning with the Government of Punjab’s commitment to citizen safety.
For three exciting days of Basant, Yango-branded rickshaws will be actively operating throughout Lahore, providing free rides and deliveries via the Yango Super App. This not only enhances mobility for families and kite enthusiasts but also adds to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere. With up to PKR 200 in subsidies per ride and nearly 80,000 free trips available, these rickshaws symbolise the colourful spirit of Basant.
To promote safety, Yango will distribute 5,000 safety rods to motorcycle drivers and will not impose penalties on those who choose to stay home during the festival, prioritising driver safety. Additionally, 3,000 branded kites will be available for customers to win through Yango Delivery orders starting four days before Basant.
Miral Sharif, Country Head at Yango Pakistan, emphasised the importance of Basant as an emotional celebration for Lahoris and urged everyone to celebrate responsibly while prioritising safety. This initiative reflects Yango’s commitment to providing reliable, affordable services during major cultural events.
