The Government of Sindh has approved an important Public-Private Partnership project to create an electric vehicle (EV) charging network across the province, supporting green energy and sustainable transport.
Developed with China’s ADM Group and Malik Group of Companies, the initiative aims to establish modern fast-charging infrastructure to bolster Pakistan’s electric mobility ecosystem. The government will allocate Rs750 million for 300 EV charging stations in the first phase, while ADM Group will invest $90 million for 3,000 charging stations nationwide.
Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah highlighted the project’s significance in reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable transportation in Sindh. Malik Khoda Bakhsh from Malik Group stated that this initiative will generate new investment opportunities, modern infrastructure, and employment for youth, in line with the earlier announcement of over 691 charging stations along major highways to improve public access. The project seeks to advance green technology, industrial growth, and effectively address climate change.
