The ambassador of Vietnam visits KATI

The ambassador of Vietnam in Pakistan, Nguyen XuanLuu said that a top level delegation will visit Pakistan in October to discuss mutual trade opportunities and MoUs are expected to be signed to facilitate investors of both countries. While speaking to office bearers of Korangi Association of Trade &Industry (KATI) he also said that investors from Vietnam see great potential in Textile raw material and Fisheries sectors in Pakistan.

On this occasion President KATI Masood Naqi, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Senior Vice President Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Vice President Umer Rehan, Syed Farukh Mazhar and other senior members of KATI welcomed the ambassador on his visit to the association.

President KATI Masood Naqi briefed Vietnams’ delegation regarding Korangi Industrial area and also emphasized to explore investment and trade opportunities for both countries. He said that Pakistan has manpower and raw materials for industries particularly textile, leather and pharmaceutical sector. Masood said that there are a lot of unexplored opportunities of investment and trade in both countries which can be helpful to increase mutual business interests. On this occasion Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Ghazanfar Ali Khan and Umer Rehan also suggested measure to strengthen trade relation of Pakistan and Vietnam.
In his address to the meeting ambassador Luu told that Vietnam reformed its economic policies three decades ago, and facilitated foreign investors by providing friendly environment and relief in tax laws. He said that mutual trade of Pakistan and Vietnam is expanding 30pc every year. He said Vietnam is looking forward to diversify its raw material buying especially for textile industry. He further said that Pakistan has a great potential of fish farming and processing, we are working to invest in these sectors.
