Zubair Tufail, the President of the United Business Group (UBG), currently in power at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, praised the successful visit of Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and other members of the Pakistani delegation to China. He expressed satisfaction over the agreement to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China in various sectors, including counter-terrorism, defense, agriculture, and IT, and welcomed the trade agreements. Zubair Tufail stated that President Asif Ali Zardari’s successful visit to China would further improve Pakistan’s economic situation.

Zubair Tufail emphasized that a strong and sustainable partnership between the two countries is essential for further stability of bilateral relations. He noted that Pakistan and China are two of the most important countries in the region, and both need to continue pushing forward their efforts to promote prosperity by deepening cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, science and technology, infrastructure, and agriculture. He also mentioned that the second phase of CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) must focus on high-quality development.

Zubair Tufail stated that the South Asian region holds a significant position globally. China’s President Xi Jinping is key in strengthening the historic and long-standing relations between Pakistan and China. He also welcomed the agreements worth 300 million dollars signed during President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to China, which cover various sectors. He regarded the steps taken to strengthen bilateral cooperation in IT, agriculture, and other key sectors as positive and promising developments.
